Michael Chandler

Someone could write a book about my life and It might just get published one day. I was born in Dallas TX. Raised in Tennessee and Mississippi. I left home when I was 17 to attend Southwestern Assemblies of God University. After a year of that I came home and attended the local community college. Soon after my Nana died, and it pushed me out of school and on my own. I worked odd jobs at grocery stores and such until the Lord began to open doors of Worship leading and music ministry. I left home again, but this time with a purpose in my heart. I was hired on staff as a worship leader in Biloxi MS. I fell in love and got married to a beautiful girl. We had children pretty early and welcomed Allyson and Lincoln within the first 3 years of our marriage. Things were hard but we were making it. Needing to provide better for my family, I enlisted in the US Air Force. After months of training and getting settled into our new home, the hard times just got harder. My wife and I began marriage difficulties and we started down a path that led to a separation. A lot happened through those years until we were divorced. I never lost my faith in God through all of it though. I made a promise to God, that I would continue to honor the vows I made to my wife. To love her and cherish her. Though times were tough, I trusted in the Lord. I got involved at my local church and fell in love with God all over again. I started leading worship again and realized that God still had a purpose for me. Not long after that I came on staff as a worship leader. The next four years would be filled with ups and downs that would test my faith and ultimately shape who I am today. I'm currently a worship and arts pastor . I am now married to the love of my life! She is everything I have asked the Lord for and more! What an amazing gift God has given to me... a beautiful woman of God. I will take good care of her Lord... I promise!

Current Study

The Truth Project

by: Dr. Del Tackett

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.1 Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation. To counter this slide within the body of Christ, Focus on the Family has launched one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of our ministry - The Truth Project.
